Abubakar Ibrahim, 38, the village chief of Gidan Abba in the Bodinga Local Government Area of Sokoto State, has been detained for drug trafficking by NDLEA agents.
On Sunday in Abuja, the agency’s spokesman, Femi Babafemi, announced that Ibrahim had been found with 3 kg of cannabis sativa and 4,000 tablets of exol-5. He was one of 11 individuals detained in interdiction operations when NDLEA agents found 46.637 kg of methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin, 1,251 kg of cannabis and khat, and 991,320 pills of prescription opiates.

Ten cartons of Tramadol 225mg arrived from Dubai on an Ethiopian Airlines flight, while four cartons of 100mg and one carton of 225mg Tramadol arrived from Karachi, Pakistan, on an additional Ethiopian Airlines flight, according to Babafemi.
