Stephen Curry produced yet another magical performance, scoring 52 points to lift the Golden State Warriors to a 134-125 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. This two-time MVP couldn’t be guarded, making 12-of-20 attempts from beyond the arc while contributing 10 boards, 8 dimes and 5 steals in a dominant all-around performance.
In his latest scoring outburst, Curry set several records. As it stands now, he has the NBA record for most 50+ point games shooting 50+% FG and 60+% 3, which he’s now done more than the great Michael Jordan. Also, he became just the third person ever to tally at least 50 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals in a game, joining Rick Barry and Anthony Davis.
His 15th career 50-point game also ties him with Damian Lillard for sixth most in N.B.A. history, putting him ahead of LeBron James.
Outside of the personal landmarks, the win meant everything for the Warriors, who improved to 44-31 and climbed to fifth in the Western Conference playoff race with only seven games remaining. With Curry continuing to rewrite the narrative, Golden State appears primed for a long postseason run.
