A yet-to-be-identified student has reportedly been shot dead at Yaba College of Technology, YABATECH, in Lagos state.
The school management confirmed the incident in a circular dated November 30, 2022.
The circular had announced that the ongoing students’ week activities would be suspended immediately owing to a “gunshot in the college by certain unruly personalities earlier today.”
The undergraduate’s death is recent, after a couple of tragedies befalling the school over the past months.
Recall that in September of this year, Bello Akerodele Adisa, a final-year student had been killed. He was shot dead in front of his faculty, the Art Complex around 8 pm.
This was after in August, a student identified simply as Kunle, the governor of the HND 1 quantity survey department, was shot and killed at the school’s sports complex while watching a football match.
