Suicide Bomber Injures Two in Borno State

Nigeria has a long list of suicide bombers who have terrorised the country especially the Northern part of Nigeria through this treacherous act.

It was reported that on Sunday around 8pm, during the nightly prayers of Muslim worshippers. An explosion believed to be the work of a suicide bomber in Biu Local Government of Borno State was denoted. Two individuals were said to have sustained injuries of varying degrees following the explosion.

The State Public Relations Officer, ASP Daso Nahum, confirmed the incident on Monday, indicating that the victims have been promptly taken to the hospital for medical attention.

Suicide Bomber Injures Two in Borno State

According to Nahum, the male suicide bomber detonated an improvised explosive device near a roundabout, resulting in his own demise.

Two bystanders who suffered injuries from the blast were swiftly transported to a medical facility for treatment. Security personnel promptly mobilized to the scene to restore calm and order.

In a reaction to this threat, the police chief emphasized the need for heightened vigilance, particularly during Ramadan when late-night prayers are common. He also urged the public to report any suspicious activities to security agencies without delay.
