In a FIFA Women’s World Cup warm-up game, Nigeria’s women’s football team, the Super Falcons, beat team Haiti 2-1 on Friday.

The game had been played at Emir Sports Complex, Antalya, Turkey where the Falcons make their two consecutive wins after successfully finishing a seven-match winless run.

The nine-time African champions had broken the deadlock near halftime when the freekick of Saint Etienne forward, Esther Okoronkwo, found its way into the back of the net.

Meanwhile, the Super Falcons will tackle the present Olympic champions Canada and co-hosts Australia, and the Republic of Ireland in the group stage of the World Cup finals which will commence on 20th July.
