In a bid to secure ministerial and other significant federal appointments, stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba South have penned an open letter to President Bola Tinubu, expressing their support and urging him to consider their zone.
The letter, dated Tuesday and signed by Jamiu Bawa, Chairman of Taraba APC Youth Forum, highlighted the dedicated efforts of Southern Taraba in securing victory for the APC in the state. It emphasized that the zone had produced the highest number of elected office holders, including a senator and two House of Representatives members.
The stakeholders extended their congratulations to Tinubu for his triumph in the polls and invoked divine intervention, praying for wisdom, good health, and the necessary tools to lead Nigeria towards greatness. They acknowledged the opportune timing of their letter, coinciding with the flow of congratulatory messages, and expressed their belief that Tinubu was already considering potential candidates for his cabinet once the 10th assembly was inaugurated.
Describing Tinubu as a committed progressive and determined democrat who values hard work, the letter conveyed the urgency of their request, emphasizing that this was an ideal moment to address it.
”This letter could not have been written at a better time than now because, as congratulatory messages are pouring in, we are sure, you are already considering names with a view to forming a cabinet as soon the 10th assembly is inaugurated.”
”As a committed progressive cum determined democrat and one who possesses the spirit of rewarding hard work, this letter cannot wait for another time,” the letter read.
“Once again, congratulations on your inauguration and the dawn of a new administration filled with hope.”
All these actions are expected, considering that the President will announce his cabinet members within his first sixty days in office, everyone will want to get on the good side of the president, just to get their names on the list.
