Two students of Federal University Wukari, FUW, in Taraba State, have reportedly been kidnapped by unidentified gunmen.
The kidnap had occurred on Monday evening inside a restaurant situated in the premises of the university.
A few students who agreed to speak with our reporter had said that the armed men, suspected to be Fulanis had stormed the restaurant where one of the now abducted students had been working part-time.
The other abducted person who was identified as a female was reportedly kidnapped while attempting to purchase food from the restaurant.
Confirming the incident, The chief security officer of the institution, Sule Gani, has confirmed the incident, saying that the abducted students were spillover students whose courses had been due for rewriting before this unfortunate scenario.
At the scene where the incident occurred, some witnesses reported hearing the gunmen conversing in Fulani language.
Meanwhile, Gani has made reassurances, promising that the school authorities and security operatives would leave no stone unturned to rescue the victims unhurt.
