Popular pop singer Taylor Swift has received a Doctor of Fine Arts, honoris causa from the New York University. She was awarded this after Brittany Spanos made a course on her musical legacy.

The University had described her as one of the most prolific and celebrated artists of her generation. They also commented on her major feat of being the only female artist to win the Grammy album award of the year three times and also have three of her albums get to number one in one year.

She was opportuned to give the commencement speech to the 2022 graduates at the Yankee Stadium and She said in her speech that her mistakes have led to the best thing in her life.

She advised the class of 22 to “Decide what is yours to hold and let the rest go.”

She also added that although figuring out your future could be overwhelming but whatever you become is up to you which could be a piece of bad and good news.

She concluded by saying that hard things would happen and that what one would have to do is to learn from them and grow more resilient because of those situations.

“As long as we are fortunate enough to be breathing, we will breathe in, breathe through, breathe deep, breathe out.”
