The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has said that it was rejecting the proposed two-month outage in Ondo and Ekiti states.
The TCN General Manager Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, had made this declaration via a statement that was released on Monday, July 1. This announcement was made in reaction to the alleged outage over maintenance of the Osogbo/Akure Ado-Ekiti 132 kilovolt line.
Recall that the Benin Electricity Distribution Company, BEDC, had recently announced a two-month outage in Ondo, Ekiti states to commence from July 1, 2024, to August 31, 2024.
But with this declaration, TCN is clarifying that no such request for an outage has been made.
The Ekiti State Government also rejected the planned two-month power outage by the Benin Electricity Distribution Company, BEDC as well.
What They’re Saying
The TCN statement released on Monday partly read;
