The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has halted the proposed power outage on the Osogbo/Akure and Ado-Ekiti 132KV lines.
The outage was previously planned for two months according to the BEDC Electricity Plc.
Evelyn Gbiwen, the Head of Branding and Communications for BEDC had made this announcement via a statement that was released on Tuesday in Benin.
According to Gbiwen the suspension would be till further notice.
Recall that on Sunday, June 30, the BEDC informed its customers in Ondo and Ekiti that TCN had plans to carry out maintenance work on the 132KV Osogbo-Akure transmission line for two months.
It remarked that the maintenance would involve the installation of optical ground wire and other activities that required an outage for a safe workspace.
What They’re Saying
“Our services will therefore continue without interruption,” Gbiwen had said, reiterating BEDC’s promise to serve its customers great service.
