Tim Sherwood, ex-Aston Villa legend has advised Erik Ten Hag Manchester United manager to stop benching Casemiro and Ronaldo.
According to him, it isn’t pleasing at all to look at two great players on the bench. That alone could make them disloyal to the club, because why will he entice Casemiro into moving to United if he wouldn’t allow him to play constantly?
He further said that it is wrong to always bench two great players like that, considering their achievements.
“If I was the manager and I turn around and I am watching them two whispering around, I am thinking, ‘I’m not sure if they are on the side.’
“Why has be bought Casemiro to the club? He’s fully fit, allow him to play, and get him on the pitch as soon as you can.
“We are talking about a five-time Champions League winner, why on earth is he sitting next to Cristiano Ronaldo, the greatest player we have seen on the bench? It’s different if you have top-drawer players on the pitch but those two are good enough to play in the Manchester United side.”
Ten Hag started Casemiro in the Man United match against Everton, which they Defeated Everton on a 2-1 win. Ronaldo who was on the bench came in after Martial had a mild muscle pull and had to limp off the field. Ronaldo scored the second goal which gave United Victory over Everton.
