Salihu Mohammed Lukman, the All Progressives Congress (APC national)’s Vice Chairman (North-West), has sought the resignation of the party’s national chairman, Abdullahi Adamu.
This will clear the way for a Christian from the North-Central region to take charge.
This demand was made by Lukman in a statement issued on Friday, March 10.
According to Lukman, Adamu’s departure will show that the party’s Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket was only an electoral plan.
He also stated that the move is motivated by fairness, justice, and equity.
He believes the party requires a new national head who is a Christian.
The Kaduna lawmaker also demanded that APC National Secretary Iyiola Omisore be fired.
He stated that this will please party supporters in Osun following the terrible results of the state’s gubernatorial and presidential elections.
