In light of this weekend’s Presidential and National Assembly elections, the Federal High Court of Nigeria (FHC) has suspended sessions for five days beginning today.
The directive was issued by Chief Judge Justice John Tsoho in a letter to the court’s judges.
According to the correspondence, they will resume on Tuesday, February 28, three days after the elections. The pause is intended to allow judges to vote in the elections.
The CJ, on the other hand, directed that one judge be assigned to each geopolitical zone to hear urgent matters throughout the period.
