Ah, it’s red carpet season and boy did the Emmy’s Red Carpet give me something to ogle and fawn over. According to Wikipedia, The Emmy Awards or the Emmy’s are an extensive range of awards for artistic and technical merit for the American and International television industry.
This year’s award ceremony was hosted later than usual; a whooping 4 months after the usual time due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Hollywood’s TV Stars glimmered at the Red Carpet on Monday night in diverse looks, although celebrities seemed to favour the colours: “Red and Black”. Pristine tuxedo’s, monochromatic looks, dramatic ballgowns and princess-themed dressing were some of the looks seen at the Emmy’s red carpet.
Read on to discover the best looks from the 2024 Emmy Awards:
Ayo Edebiri:
Easily one of the best dressed stars at the Red Carpet (I might be a little biased), Edebiri’s balloon-looking black leather Louis Vuitton dress effortlessly stood out. ‘The Bears’ actress paired the look with a simple black heel and a silver neckpiece, staying true to her style that simple is more.
Issa Rae:
The stunning actress donned a gown by Pamella Roland’s spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection and paired it with a Mach and Mach bag. Fashion pundits have said Rae’s look is reminiscent of a 70’s star, especially with the design of her gown being an off-white feather-and-gem embellishment adorning the ivory cape gown.
Suki Waterhouse:
The actress and singer didn’t shy away from showing off her baby bump as she graced the Red Carpet wearing a beautiful bow adorned gown by Valentino from its SS23 couture collection. She finished the look with accessories from Tiffany & Co.
Jessica Chastain:
This actress stepped out to the Awards ceremony wearing a custom neon green (or acid green as you please) Gucci gown that just like Issa Rae’s, was a nod to the 70’s spunky fashion glam. The gown was adorned with sequins, fringes and a modest plunging neckline. She completed the whole look with a Reza diamond jewellery.
Meghann Fahy:
Fahy didn’t disappoint for her Red Carpet debut at the Emmy’s. Apparently going for the ‘rich oga wife’ in Nigerian lingo, Fahy donned a custom red, velvet and strapless Giorgio Armani Privé gown featuring a corset bodice with faux roses at its bust.
Riley Keough:
This list would have been incomplete if Keough had been missing from the best-dressed line-up. There’s something about the actress’s gown that just makes you to stop, stare and take it all in.
Being a long time Chanel ambassador, the actress wore a long, black organza dress adorned with embroidered braids. Underneath her sheer skirt though, the TV star wore a pair of black shorts that was adorned with tiny, white bee prints. The outfit was accessorised with a pair of earrings from Chanel and a ring in platinum with diamonds.
