The All Progressives Congress has suspended 31 members of its Akoko South West Local Government Area in Ondo State.
The party indicated in a letter issued to the party’s state chairman, Mr. Ade Adetimehin, and made accessible to our correspondent on Saturday that its decision was based on the findings of a committee formed to investigate the incident.
The affected members’ offense was not indicated in the letter, but it was learned that the suspension was not unrelated to the anti-party roles they allegedly played in the previous general elections.
The letter was signed by the party’s chairman and leader, Chief Sehinde Mishe, and Mr Victor Olabimtan.
In response, Adetimehim stated that the state secretariat would investigate the incident and rectify the issue.
