In three days time, the country’s administration will change hands, as May 29th will signal the end of a tenure, and the start of a new one.
Meanwhile, in a bid to ease expectations, the Vice-president elect, Kashim Shettima has warned Nigerians to not expect too much at the start of their tenure.
In a lecture delivered on Friday, May 26 at the 2023 Presidential Inauguration Public Lecture, and held at the National Mosque in Abuja, the Vice-President-elect had stated that the start of the tenure might not be rosy, considering the several problems on-ground in the country.
But he had assured Nigerians, that the administration will take the necessary measures to ensure that everything falls in order, although it would take time.
In Shettima’s words:
“There are certain decisions that the new administration will take, but in the fullness of time, Nigerians will come not only to appreciate but also to celebrate us.”
Nigeria is plagued with so many problems, that we might need a miracle to solve every vices plaguing the country, but with adequate planning and good decisions all these problems can and will be settled.
