Three killed as suspected Fulani herdsmen Invade Community in Benue

At least 3 persons including a woman have been killed by suspected Fulani herders at Tse Ikyem in Logo LGA, Benue State.

According to a Local report,  the herders had invaded the community around 4 pm on Saturday, October 29, 2022, killing three and severely wounding several others.

The community leader, Joseph Anawah, who confirmed the attack, revealed the names of the deceased as Mr. Solomon Ukoom, Mrs. Eunice Torkwase Joe Kpei, and Mr Mfeseer Iorbume.

Anawah had also reported that several people were wounded and that the victims were from Ukemberagya Gaambetiev Logo LGA Benue state. 

The attack had occurred at Tse Ikyem around Anawah settlement, the same spot where two people were murdered not too long ago on Sunday 23rd October, 2022.

The State Police Command spokesperson, SP Catherine Anene, confirmed the incident on Sunday. 

She had written: “Incident confirmed please.” she said in a terse SMS she sent to the Nigerian Tribune journalists.
