President Bola Tinubu has offered his condolences to the Ezeife family, the people, and the Anambra State government on the death of Chief Chukwuemeka Ezeife, CON, a former governor of the state.
The Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, made this disclosure in a statement on Friday, 15 December.
Ezeife, the Okwadike of Igbo-Ukwu, and governor of Anambra from 1992 to 1993, had passed away on Thursday at age 85.
Tinubu, while reacting to the public figure’s death had eulogised the great influence of the former federal permanent secretary in Nigeria’s political scene and his exemplary credentials, recounting his passing as a painful loss.
The President enumerated the contributions of the late Chief Ezeife made in shaping the public discourse and governance in Nigeria and setting the foundation for promoting his state.
Finally, President Tinubu prayed for the eternal rest of Ezeife’s departed soul, and encouraged his loved ones to take comfort in his indelible legacy.
