Several state Governors from the 36 States in the country are presently in the presidential villa, in FCT Abuja, meeting with President Bola Tinubu.
Led by the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, NGF, and the governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the governors in attendance included: governors of Kano, Taraba, Zamfara, Oyo, Kogi, Ogun, Nasarawa, Adamawa, Lagos, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Rivers, Benue, Delta, Osun, Jigawa, Enugu, Taraba, Rivers, Plateau, Imo, Kebbi, Abia, and Bauchi.
The entire party had been given audience at about half past twelve 12.30pm in the Council Chamber by President Tinubu.
This secret meeting will be the first time the state governors will meet with the President as a group under the NGF since his inauguration ceremony on May 29.
Also present at the meeting is Kashim Shettima, the Nigerian Vice President, the new Secretary to Government of the Federation, SGF, the National Security Adviser, NSA), and several others.
Recall that President Tinubu had on Friday, June2 met with the governors of his ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) under the auspices of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF).
