The anticipated May 29th, has at long last arrived and the disputed President-elect, Tinubu has just been sworn in as the President of Nigeria, at the Eagles Square in FCT, Abuja.
At as exactly 10:28am and 10:38am, Tinubu and his Vice President, Shettima officially took their oaths of office administered by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Oluwakayode Ariwoola.
“I, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, do solemnly swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. That I will preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. So, help me, God,” the new President swore.
With a new President sworn in, Buhari has officially bowed out as the President of Nigeria. The country now has a new Commander-in-Chief, that will take charge of it’s affairs for the next four years.
The Inauguration Ceremony was graced by the ex-president and ex-vice president, Buhari and Osibanjo, with their wives.
Additionally, several Presidents from other countries in Africa, notable businessmen in Nigeria, Service Chiefs, Governors and other distinguished personalities were present.
