Afrobeats sensation Tiwa Savage has taken a firm stand against a social media critic who made remarks about her son, Jamil Balogun, from her previous marriage to Tunji Teebillz Balogun.
The exchange began when the critic shared a video of Savage dancing with Jamil at an event on X, captioning it, “Omo, why is Tiwa Savage’s Son frowning?”

Savage made it clear that while public commentary on her music and career is expected, attacking her child is unacceptable. She responded, “@TheDamiForeign, you see that I never cared about your paid agenda to bring me down, and you’ve been doing it for a long time. Talking about my child is crossing the line. Dami with my FULL CHEST e no go better for you. You even posted that you wanted me to die young…. Back to sender.”
The singer further criticized the critic’s misplaced attention, noting, “The obsession with me is loud but your relevance is missing.”
She also issued a warning that any future remarks about her son would not stay confined to Twitter, signaling a potential escalation if the behavior continued.
This isn’t the first time the critic has targeted Savage, having previously stirred debate with a viral post claiming the singer was “getting old.”
