Controversial UK-based pastor Tobi Adegboyega has revealed that he has been battling cancer and recently underwent major surgery.
The revelation came during a video message shared with his congregation on Friday.
In the video, Adegboyega said,
“I was diagnosed with cancer. Yes, you heard me right. I’ve been dealing with cancer for the past few months or even more. I just had a major surgery, that’s why I am not there today. I have just fought the battle and I feel the verdict to continue to live was given to me by God for a new level, for a new stage.”
Known for his flamboyant lifestyle and unconventional style of ministry, Adegboyega has attracted a strong youth following over the years. However, his ministry has not been without controversy. His church, Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church (SPAC Nation), was shut down in the UK in 2022 following investigations into alleged financial misconduct.
The pastor has also frequently come under fire for his extravagant lifestyle, often appearing in designer outfits, luxury cars, and social circles that include celebrities.
His recent health disclosure has sparked mixed reactions, with some offering prayers while others remain critical of his public image and past controversies.
