Torn International Passport Saga: Nigerian Woman Gets Arrested, Moved to Abuja

The Nigerian woman who shredded her husband’s passport to pieces at the Lagos State International Airport has been arrested.

According to reports, the woman in question, Mrs. Favour Igiebor who hails from Edo State had been captured tearing up her husband’s international passport in a video that has now gone viral social media.

Reacting to the incident in a statement on Monday, The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) had reacted to the incident on Monday via a statement it released, saying it had launched an investigation into the matter.

However, in a recent development on Thursday, the woman was arrested at Lagos and immediately moved to Abuja for interrogation.

In a now trending video, the Italy-based Nigerian woman was escorted by immigration officers to a vehicle upon her arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
