Troops of the Nigerian Army have neutralised four suspected terrorists during a patrol along the Turare–Yantumaki Road in Katsina State.
Security expert Zagazola Makama disclosed this in a post on X on Friday, saying the incident occurred at about 11:40 a.m. when soldiers came under attack during a routine patrol.
According to him, the troops responded swiftly and overpowered the attackers, killing all four suspects without suffering any casualties.
Makama said items recovered from the scene included an AK-47 rifle, a magazine loaded with five rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, two motorcycles, mobile phones, and ₦153,400 in cash.

He added that some of the recovered Android phones contained images of the suspects dressed in military uniforms, which have been handed over for forensic examination.
“Preliminary intelligence identified the neutralised suspects as Bishir Holami, Jamilu Baki, Ibrahim Doro, and Abdurraman Maje,” he said.
“The suspects were linked to a series of attacks in Gobirawa, Raddawa, Kuki, and other communities within Dutsinma and Matazu Local Government Areas,” he added.
