President-elect Donald Trump announced Susie Wiles, one of his campaign managers, as his White House chief of staff, marking the first time a woman will hold the influential role. Wiles, 67, is a respected Florida-based political strategist credited with leading Trump’s disciplined 2024 campaign. Known for her low-profile, Wiles has played a crucial role in Trump’s success and previously advised his 2016 and 2020 bids, as well as Governor Ron DeSantis’s 2018 election. Trump described her as “tough, smart, and innovative” and expressed confidence in her ability to serve the nation effectively.

Wiles’s appointment is expected to bring stability to Trump’s administration, which previously saw four chiefs of staff cycle through during his 2017-2021 term. She was chosen over other prominent candidates, including former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

Bottom Line:

Susie Wiles’s appointment as White House chief of staff signals a more seasoned and steady approach for Trump’s upcoming term. Known for her strategic prowess and ability to deliver results, Wiles’s leadership may bring consistency to Trump’s inner circle as he prepares to assume office again.
