Britt McHenry, a press adviser at the US State Department, engaged in a fiery altercation with fans during the Washington Wizards’ home opener against the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night.
Video acquired by TMZ and published Thursday appeared to show McHenry starting to pour a beverage on a fellow audience member before jumping out of her chair to leave amid jeers from those in attendance.
As she moved through the arena, the video showed fans tossing rally towels toward the path of McHenry. She seemed to acknowledge them with hand gestures and blowing kisses before getting into a shouting match with a security guard guiding her to the exit.
McHenry’s friends, however, said she was not thrown out of the arena.

Her friends said that observers sitting behind her and a male friend made vulgar and sexist comments about model Winnie Harlow, who is dating Milwaukee Bucks forward Kyle Kuzma, TMZ reported.
They also claimed that objects were thrown at McHenry during the fight, but were unable to specify the reason for throwing the beverage at her.
Her friends stated she left her seat to go to the bar of her own accord, while her friend stayed at the game.
McHenry served as an ESPN reporter prior to his time at Fox Nation and then in President Donald Trump’s administration.
In 2015, ESPN suspended her for a week after a video surfaced of her yelling at an employee of a Virginia towing company.
