Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has addressed a recent policy announcement by United States President Donald Trump, which limits gender recognition to male and female.
The directive, issued through executive orders after Trump’s return to office, mandates a binary approach to gender across all federal programmes and policies in the United States.
During his inauguration, Trump stated, “As of today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female.”
In reaction to the announcement, Bobrisky took to Instagram on Tuesday to affirm his confidence in his identity.
He stated that he had completed all necessary procedures to establish himself as a woman.
“I don’t have business with trump, trump said we only have two genders right ? Andi said I’m now a woman that has undergo everything. If they asked for evidence I will show them simple!!!, he wrote.
Bobrisky further added, “Do i look like someone who’s broke that cannot afford a doctor fee ? So rest with ur trump dis trump that. Atleast he didn’t stop same s*x marriage for those who are still interested so rest”
The crossdresser’s remarks have ignited discussions online, with many expressing diverse opinions on both the policy and Bobrisky’s response.
