A football team in Tunisia has stopped playing because 32 of its players have moved to Europe.
Jamil Meftahi, the president of the fourth-division Ghardimaou club, said that his players had either left by sea or gone to Serbia before crossing the border illegally into other European countries.
Before November of last year, Tunisians did not need a visa to visit Serbia.
Since Tunisia is in the middle of an economic crisis, the club president said he couldn’t pay the players.
