A 16-year- old teenage boy has been confirmed dead on Wednesday, 23 November, leaving at least 14 others sustaining varying degrees of injuries in two bombs attacks.
According to Reuters, Israeli authorities had announced that the twin bomb attack was suspected to have been carried out by militant Palestinians.
The first bomb blast, which had occurred during rush hour, had been blamed on an explosive device hidden at a bus station near the city’s exit. The second blast had then occurred approximately 30 minutes later and it hit a bus stop, close to an urban settlement in the Eastern side of the city.
In the Israeli Army Radio’s report, the explosive devices had been hidden in bags and were packed with nails to increase the impact of the bomb blast.
Israel’s ambulance service had already rushed 12 wounded individuals to the hospital. But unfortunately, one of the wounded a 16-year-old boy, had died from his wounds.it was treating six people from the same blast, one moderate and five lightly wounded, and another three people lightly wounded in the second explosion.
Meanwhile, while reacting to the incident, the United Nations, the European Union and the United States have already condemned the attacks, with the U.S. Embassy stating that:”Terrorism is a dead-end that accomplishes absolutely nothing.”
