Two individuals have been confirmed dead in the road crash along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Ogun State, on Saturday, September 30.
Three others victims had reportedly sustained different degrees of injuries in the car accident, which happened at about 5:16 pm on the popular Lagos-Ibadan way, around Sandcrate in Ogun State.
The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, had in a statement issued on Sunday, October 1st, revealed that four male adults and four female adults were involved in the accident.
The FRSC spokesperson in Ogun State, Florence Okpe, had in the statement, additionally revealed that one male adult and two female adults had sustained injuries.
The car accident had involved a Toyota bus, with the registration number, LND537XA and the alleged cause of the crash had been because of a tyre burst, over speeding and loss of control.
“The injured victims have been taken to Victory Hospital Ogere while the dead bodies have been deposited at FOS morgue, Ipara.” Okpe had said.
Anthony Uga, the Sector Commander of the FRSC in Ogun State, had expressed regrets over the road crashes on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, accusing drivers for refusing to drive within the mandated speed limit.
Uga had also commiserated with the families of the victims, advising passengers to report any offending driver by dialling the Toll-free number, 122.
