South African singer Tyla has come under fire defending the bullying of Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina who is one of Miss South Africa finalists. Adetshina, a Nigerian-Mozambican contender for the competition, pulled out after controversy erupted over her true nationality.

She had to withdraw from the competition being a finalist in Top 11 after some accusations that involved her mother in fraudulent activities. Tyla took to X to raise her concerns that Adetshina was bullied for her to quit the competition. She wished Adetshina the best and said she does not endorse anyone being bullied in anyway.

The Miss Universe Nigeria has extended an invitation to Adetshina to contest with them, although she has not responded yet.
