Israel’s Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday that the United States has given its approval for the sale of a co-developed missile defense system to Finland.
Following the green light from Washington, Israel is set to finalize the deal worth 316 million euros ($345.80 million) to provide Finland with the state-of-the-art air-defense system known as David’s Sling.
The missile defense system will be a collaborative effort between Israeli and American industries, with Israel’s Rafael Advanced Systems and Raytheon Technologies Corporation leading the development, in partnership with Finnish industries, according to the ministry’s statement.
