A Russian ferry loaded with fuel has been sunk by a Ukrainian attack.
According to a report by the Telegraph, the attacked vessel had been transporting 30 fuel tanks in the Russian port of Kavkaz in southern Krasnodar when fire broke out.
Also damaged in the attack were the jetty and port structures in the area. At press time, no casualties have been reported.
The report had however, revealed that over 100 people had been called upon to tackle the blaze. Several photos shared on social media revealed plumes of black smoke emanating from the attacked ship.
Consequently, recent reports announced on Friday revealed that Russia had lost about 605,330 troops since the beginning of its invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
According to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, this death toll includes the 11,190 casualties recorded in the past day alone.
