Veteran actor, Victor Olaotan, has passed away after a long time battle with brain injury.

Born in Lagos in the early 50’s, he studied drama at the University of Ibadan, at the Obafemi Awolowo University and also at Rockets University, United States.

The 69 year-old actor graced the Nollywood scenes for years with his role as Fred Ade Williams on Mnet series, Tinsel. He became incapacitated from car accident 5 years ago on his way to a set.

Olaotan had a ghastly car accident in October 2016 on his way to a movie set along Apapa-Oshodi Expressway, and was flown to Turkey with financial support coming from colleagues and popular billionaire, Femi Otedola.

In recent times, pictures have surfaced online showing that the actor had lost weight. It was also said that his leg might be amputated due to the effect of the accident.

News of his demise was announced by his wife, Julia on Thursday, August 26 in Lagos State.
