Afrobeats sensation Victony, recently addressed comparisons with fellow artists Rema and Asake. Despite development of his other colleagues, Victony could not complain about his current status in the music industry claiming that he does not want to rush to join their league.
Some fans on various social media platforms criticized his debut album titled Stubborn for not being ‘commercially successful,’ because of the absence of controversy or ‘haters.’ He dismissed such opinion as ‘dumb,’ stating that the expectations people have developed for him might be high given his current position.
Victony’s view of things is quite positive and poised when it comes to matters concerning his profession. He is selfish in his pursuit and he does not feel the pressure of wanting to be successful right away. This attitude is quite rare given that many within this business prefer quick results and immediate popularity.
