Video game developer, Electronic Art (EA) sports has announced that it would stop making sports games with FIFA branding title.

They said that one of the reasons why they would not be continuing with this partnership is because of the cost of getting the license from FIFA.

They would continue to make Video games but they would not be branded by FIFA

In 1993, the first video game was made by EA sports and they have had the franchise since then. They would release one more game for FIFA and then a new game without the FIFA brand called EA sports FC is expected to be launched by them in the summer of 2023.

“Our unique licensing portfolio of more than 19,000+ players, 700+ teams, 100+ stadiums and 30 leagues that we’ve continued to invest in for decades will still be there, uniquely in EA Sports FC.
