In what can be described as a stunning show of support and funds, the presidential campaign of U.S. vice president Kamala Harris has revealed that it raised $81 million within a single day after President Joe Biden’s unexpected decision to let go of his bid for the presidential seat.
This extraordinary sum, revealed by the campaign’s spokesman Kevin Munoz on Monday, marks the highest one-day fundraising figure in the United States’ history and outstrips all previous records in the 2024 presidential campaign.
The large amount, which includes donations from both major donors and small donors who contributed small amounts of money, indicates the growing support and interest in Vice President Harris’ campaign.

A senior adviser also pointed out that Future Forward, which is the biggest superPAC in the Democratic Party, raised $150 million in commitments during the same time from other new donors to boost the campaign cash.
