It is now in doubt if the Super Falcons are ready for the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia, as they lost their 4th consecutive game in international friendlies. However, Super Falcons, head coach, Randy Waldrum believes that their defeats are a learning process.
According to Waldrum, the losses are just a learning process, and an opportunity to experience new things, new ideas, and new tactics. He further said that the super Falcons did their best in their match.
He further said that they’ve studied their opponent’s tactics and styles so they have learned from this loss.
“It’s a learning process for us. It was an opportunity to try new things. New ideas and new tactics,” Waldrum said after the game.
“We started the game strongly though they dominated the last 20 minutes of the first half.
“It’s always disappointing when you concede late in any game. We will learn from this defeat and prepare for our next game”
The world cup holds in July, and our girls who were not able to win the AFCON last year, have the opportunity to win the world cup this year.
