Various Western governments have jointly issued urgent advisories to their citizens, asking them to leave Lebanon immediately due to the worsening security situation and increased likelihood of conflict.
The United States, Germany, UK and France have all issued travel warnings, reminding people about the volatility of the current environment and the potential for imminent hostilities between Israel and Iran-supported Hezbollah militants.
The advisories state that the situation is becoming more volatile, with both sides engaged in active preparation for war; and encourage citizens to be extremely careful when moving out of the country.
In response to rising tensions; Several major airlines, such as Lufthansa, Swiss International Air Lines, Air France and Turkish Airlines, until further notice have suspended flights into Beirut until further notice due to concerns about passenger safety.
The gravity of this situation is demonstrated by both Western governments’ warnings as well as actions taken by these airlines; and it is highly recommended that individuals listen to these warnings from foreign governments and make immediate plans for their expulsion from Lebanon.
