Many fans believe that Messi has cemented his title as the greatest footballer of All Time, by helping Argentina win the 2022 World Cup, some people are not still convinced that he is the G.O.A.T. as they believe that each era has seen great footballers.
And Ancelotti, the Real Madrid coach is part of those people who believe that Messi is not the Greatest footballer.
According to Ancelotti, When asked if the Barcelona legend is the greatest, said: “It is difficult to say.
He described Messi as a great footballer no doubt, but as the best in history, he is not so sure as every era has seen his kind.
“He is a great footballer. His career is spectacular but if he is the best in history I do not know because each era has had very important players.
He further said that he has seen great players, such as Maradona, Scruffy, and even 2022 Balon D’or winner, Karim Benzema play
“Saying he was the best in history is not going to come out of my mouth. I have enjoyed all the players and now I have a Ballon d’Or every day here (Karim Benzema).
“I have seen (Diego) Maradona and (Johan) Cruyff and I have enjoyed them”.
Many football lovers have even compared his recent achievement with that of the late Brazilian Legend, Pele as Pele won three world cup trophies for Brazil during his time.
