Abbas Balarabe, President Bola Tinubu’s Ministerial Nominee’s collapse during his screening at the Senate House on Wednesday, October 4th had alarmed several individuals and has spurred several think pieces on the reasons to his collapse.
Balarabe who has now been confirmed minister by the Senate has disclosed the reason for his collapse to anyone who cares to know.
In Balarabe’s words:
“I collapsed due to exhaustion. I got the news of my nomination yesterday and I had to travel from Kaduna.”
“There were so many things to take care of and I had to attend to all throughout the night.”
“I want to specially thank the Senate for their understanding especially the senators from my State (Kaduna) who all gathered around me since yesterday and called for a medical team to take care of me.”
“I am presently alright, nothing is wrong with me. I only experienced pure exhaustion– something that can happen to anybody.”
