Yul Edochie, a Nollywood actor and preacher, has called himself a “hardcore traditionalist” in a declaration regarding his spiritual convictions.
The actor made the announcement on his Instagram page, including a photo of himself dressed in traditional costume.
He advocated for traditional worshippers, highlighting how many Africans, fearful of being judged, separate themselves from their powerful indigenous religion and authentic ancestry.
Yul referred to it as an abomination, stressing that he would never abandon the principles of his ancestors, which are rooted in truth, transparency, and fairness. He strongly proclaimed himself a ‘hardcore traditionalist’.
He wrote, “Because of fear of what people will say, Africans are running away from their powerful African religion, their originality.
