Dauda Lawal, the Governor of Zamfara State has approved the establishment of a Tribunal to fight traffic offences and infractions due to the surging road accidents in the State.
The Governor had also said that his administration would construct two truck parks in Gusau, the State capital, to help control heavy traffic being caused by trailers.
The Governor made this revelations while presiding over the Zamfara State Executive Council meeting on Monday at the Council chamber of the Government House in Gusau, the State capital.

A statement by the Governor’s spokesman, Sulaiman Bala Idris, had disclosed that the Executive Council had sat for the 16th time since the swearing-in of Governor Dauda Lawal’s administration.
The Governor was quoted to have said:
“I have endorsed the immediate employment of 250 people for the Zamfara Road Traffic Agency, ZAROTA, to boost the ongoing road constructions as part of my administration’s urban renewal projects.”
Governor Lawal, had also received detailed reports on the progress, challenges encountered, and expected timelines for the completion of each project, the statement said.
These updates comprised a lot if sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, education, and law enforcement.
