19 Individuals Confirmed Dead in Abuja Auto Crash.

Nineteen persons have been confirmed dead, while eight others were injured in an auto crash at Yangoji-Gwagwalada Road at the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, on Sunday, 18 September.

Acting Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Mr. Dauda Biu confirmed the deceased count when he visited the accident scene.

Biu reported the car crash, which had occurred early Sunday morning, involved three vehicles, which were: two Toyota Hiace buses with number plates MUB- 30 LG and DWR-985 XJ, and an articulated vehicle.

Biu also disclosed that 31 persons were involved in the accident comprising 11 males, one female, and 19 others who were burnt to death, beyond recognition.

“Out of the 31 victims, 8 persons comprising 7 males and a female sustained various degrees of wounds, while 19 others were burnt beyond recognition,” Biu concluded.
