This year’s Elections marked a new era in Nigeria’s politics, as we saw more participation of Youths in politics. Many youths were able to win positions in the National Assembly.
The Supplementary elections were held across the country on Saturday, 16th of April 2023, in the Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency of Imo State, Akarachi Amadi a 29-year-old candidate of the All Progressive Congress was declared the winner of the election.
Akarachi Amadi was declared the winner by the Returning Officer of the Independent Electoral Commission Prof Boniface Okoro. According to the result, Amadi garnered a total of 21, 372 and Uche Ogbuagu of the Labour Party, polled 18, 296 votes.
