Legendary singer 2Baba and his new partner, Natasha Osawaru, were seen together on Wednesday at the Edo state governorship election tribunal in Abuja.
The tribunal is scheduled to issue its ruling on the petition disputing the declaration of Monday Okpebholo, the APC candidate, as the winner of the Edo state governorship election held on September 21, 2024.
The petition was lodged by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Asuerinme Ighodalo. Natasha is also affiliated with the PDP.
Natasha, the deputy majority leader of the Edo State House of Assembly and representative of the Egor constituency, was seen entering the tribunal sitting alongside 2Baba in a now-viral video.
The pair were warmly welcomed and greeted by other lawmakers present at the tribunal.
Natasha and 2Baba have been in the spotlight since the singer announced his split from Annie Idibia in January, shortly before confirming his relationship with Natasha.
The ‘African Queen’ hitmaker proposed to the lawmaker in February, stressing that their relationship was unrelated to his separation from Annie.
Recently, the lawmaker updated her Instagram bio to reflect the singer’s surname, now listing herself as “Honourable Natasha Idibia.”
Natasha’s update followed Annie’s decision to drop the singer’s surname and return to her maiden name, “Annie Uwana Macaulay.”
