3 Persons Die in Anambra Auto Crash

About three persons have lost their lives in an accident involving a commercial bus journeying from Awka to Ekwulobia in Anambra State on Sunday evening.

Three persons, the driver of the vehicle and two passengers, were burnt beyond recognition after the vehicle swerved off the road, flipped and bust into flames.
The unfortunate incident occurred along the Ezinano-Nkwo Agulu section of the Agulu road.

An eyewitness revealed that the victims comprised of the driver and two passengers ( male and female).
A lucky survivor, Mr. Chinonso, narrated the harrowing incident, revealing how the greysome accident happened:

In his words:

“Our 14-seater Mitsubishi bus, set off from Amawbia to transport us to Ekwulobia, although I was headed to Ufuma.

3 Persons Die in Anambra Auto Crash

Shortly after departing Amawbia, a passenger warned the driver about the speed. Shortly after, the driver attempted to avoid a pothole. Unfortunately, the vehicle swerved off the road, somersaulted, and burst into flames. I, together with other passengers, managed to escape, but our attempts to save the three victims were thwarted by the serious fire.”

As at the time of filing this report, police authorities in Anambra State have were yet to issue any press release regarding the incident.
