Countries in the South Pacific got a Tsunami warning on Friday as soon as a 7.7 earth quake shook Loyalty Islands which is in the French territory of New Caledonia.
Also, further threats were issued for Fiji, Vanuatu and New Caledonia by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (PTWC).
There were further warnings issued for Lord Howe Island by Australia’s meteorology bureau.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the quake was about 24 miles or 38 km in depth.
Assessment for more threats are said to be going on by New Zealand.
