The local fire department in the Dutch city of The Hague had on Saturday morning, December 7, narrated how an apartment building was hit by an explosion and fire which luckily only injured four people.
In a statement released shortly after the incident, the Hague fire department said;
“At around 6:15 a.m. a three-story apartment building partially collapsed and a fire broke out.”
“Up to now four victims have been taken to the hospital.”
At the time of filing this report, an explanation on the cause of the fire and explosion has not been given.
Pictures of the scene posted on social media platform X from a higher building nearby had shown how one segment, surrounding five apartments had been reduced to ashes and rubble.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Dick Schoof had in a statement, said he was shocked by images of the disaster and promptly offered aid to the local authorities.
