These videos, which feature heartfelt appeals and on-the-ground footage of the fire’s aftermath, quickly went viral, garnering thousands of views, shares and of course, support.

The vendors’ creative use of TikTok not only raised awareness but also inspired a wave of generosity from viewers across the globe.

Medina, who is from Pasadena, was one of thousands who were evacuated due to the fire.

“At the end of the day, this is all we have, is each other,” Medina had said. “Humanity, just coming together as one and being there for each other in times like this.”

The funds raised through these TikTok campaigns are being used to provide essential supplies such as food, clothing, and temporary shelter for the Eaton Fire victims. In addition, the donations are helping to support long-term recovery efforts, including rebuilding homes and restoring community infrastructure.
